The Mitsubishi PLA-AE42NL indoor cassette paired with the PUZ-AK42NLHZ Hyper-Heat outdoor unit delivers exceptional year-round performance with 42,000 BTU of cooling and high-capacity heating output even in extreme winter conditions. Equipped with Mitsubishi’s advanced 3D i-see Sensor®, the indoor cassette scans the room to identify temperature distribution, heat signatures, and occupancy, automatically adjusting airflow and capacity for optimal comfort and enhanced efficiency. The unit includes individual vane control, swing-mode airflow, multiple fan settings, and built-in condensate lift functionality. With a 33" × 33" ceiling footprint and integrated knockouts for fresh-air intake and branch ducting, it installs cleanly and flexibly in both high and low ceiling applications.

The PUZ-AK42NLHZ outdoor unit features Hyper-Heating INVERTER® technology, providing significantly faster heating start-up and maintaining reliable warmth down to –13°F, with up to 80% of nominal heating capacity in extreme cold.
