The Mitsubishi PLA-AE42NL paired with the PUZ-AK42NL outdoor heat pump delivers powerful, energy-efficient comfort with 42,000 BTU of cooling and heating capacity. Designed for large commercial and residential spaces up to ~2,000 sq ft, this system is ideal for retail stores, classrooms, lobbies, restaurants, meeting rooms, and oversized living areas requiring consistent, quiet, evenly distributed airflow.

The indoor cassette features Mitsubishi’s advanced 3D i-see Sensor®, which scans the room for temperature variations, heat signatures, and occupancy, adjusting output and airflow for optimal comfort and energy savings. Multiple vane control settings allow direct, indirect, or variable airflow patterns, and the built-in condensate lift mechanism simplifies installation. The cassette fits a standard 33" × 33" ceiling opening and supports airflow configurations for both high and low ceiling heights.

The PUZ-AK42NL outdoor unit uses an INVERTER-driven twin-rotary compressor for smooth, precise temperature control. Designed for tough environments, it includes Blue Fin coil coating and full seacoast protection, providing long-lasting durability in coastal or corrosive industrial locations. This system offers low-ambient cooling down to 0°F with wind baffles and heating operation to -13°F, enabling dependable year-round comfort even in extreme climates.

Despite its large capacity, the system operates quietly, with indoor sound levels as low as 34 dB(A).
