The PAA-CA36NL indoor unit is engineered for compatibility with most ANSI-certified gas furnaces and supports Mitsubishi intelli-HEAT® technology for intelligent switchover between heat pump and furnace operation. This hybrid functionality helps optimize comfort, improve efficiency, and reduce energy consumption by automatically selecting the most appropriate heating source based on outdoor conditions. The indoor unit features a durable, high-quality drain pan with excellent heat tolerance and low moisture absorption for long-term reliability. An INVERTER-driven twin rotary compressor continuously adjusts output to match heating and cooling demand, delivering improved comfort, quieter operation, and superior energy efficiency. Flash Injection technology enhances compressor performance in extreme cold temperatures, while the built-in base pan heater helps prevent freeze-up after defrost cycles to ensure dependable winter operation.

Built for durability in harsh environments, the outdoor unit incorporates Blue Fin anti-corrosion coating and Seacoast Protection to guard against salt, sulfur, and airborne contaminants that can affect system performance and longevity. The system supports cooling operation from 23°F to 115°F ambient temperatures and can operate down to 0°F in cooling mode when equipped with wind baffles.
